A4I_field_trip

Overview

Within the framework of the JCAR program, A4I project research activities, a series of field visits were executed in Kafr El-Sheikh and Qalubyia Pilots under the supervision of Dr. Eric Smaling, the A4I project leader. The A4I team visited the pilot setup with representatives from the Water Management Research Institute, Drainage Research Institute, Soil, Water, and Environment Research Institute, in the presence of farmers and landowners.


During the first visit, in December 2022, The A4I team determined the pilots. Last week, the team visited the selected pilots for choosing crops that would be tested and determine places, frequency, measurement, and the initial steps for the installation of drip irrigation networks.
