Overview

In light of the activities of the JCAR project (joint cooperation between Egypt and the Netherlands for applied research) and the activities of the research project (Performance Enhancement of Pump Stations for Irrigation and drainage (PEPSI)), a workshop entitled "Co-Deveopment of Asset management system for MED" was implemented in The presence of Dr. Ayman El-Sayed, Head of the Mechanics and Electricity Department, Dr. Sami Saad, Director of the Hydraulics Research Institute, and Mr. Anton De Fockert, PEPSI Leader from the Deltares.

The workshop was attended by 35 engineers and experts in the field from the various departments of MED and NWRC and the PEPSI research activity was discussed, which includes the pump system assessment and the asset management system, the importance, and digitization.

During the workshop, one of the developed programs for asset management systems was presented and discussed, and amendments and recommendations were presented to the model in line with the requirements of evaluating the MED assets.
