Overview
Within the framework of the JCAR project for the A4I research activity, a training course was organized in the National Water Research Center (NWRC) - entitled: Basics of RIBASIM software
The training executed during the period from 5 to 9 February 2023, in the national training center for Hydraulics Research Institute.
23 participants from NWRC, SWERI, MWRI were trained in preparation for the completion of project activities with partners from the Dutch side.
The training course aims to raise the capacity of the participants in simulating the Nile Delta and allocate the water according to certain priorities.
The RIBASIM software is very effective tool for simulating the system under different scenarios such as climate change, irrigation modernisation, Water shortage, population growth and change in crop patterns
Prof. Rasha Elkholy, the President of NWRC, attended the closing ceremony and certified the participants.
